Well, I had a lot of resolutions this year however I only managed to do one of them
My resolution : get at least one trophy or medal before leaving St Andrew's School
-
I actually had one a while ago but I kept shutting it down after 2 months cause my life was....
DRAMA-LESS
So now, got alot more la
and plus I have alot of thoughts that I need to let out.
(don't tell me go talk to my friends cz these thoughts come abt in the midle of the night)
-I've met a number of people this year (friends or not)
I joined Wu Shu/Kung Fu taught by a master from China
Since he doesnt have the time to teach all of us individually,
he assigned one of his students to teach us(ben, kuen and me) the basics.
Nen Yaw aka Xiao Shi Fu
=p
-
Another person I befriended from wu shu is
Ah Liang
I met Sunny, our dance instructor, when I participated in
the Cultural Chinese Dance for our school's Golden Jubilee
even our childhood friend
Dann Kenn aka Mr. Bakatuki
dropped by from KK for just a day just to see us
We've all grown a lot since we last met-
-
Marshall aka 'Shawn's friend' is someone I met on the 20th on November.
wait, scratch that. I met him way before that,
we only started talking on the 20th of Nov.
However, due to some problems, we are no longer speaking
Eventhough our friendship was short, he has made a great impact on my life.
-
Then there was China....
This is
Xiao Lei - our tour guide
-
and
the Yong family
And also due to some problems, I can't talk to them
well only one of them actually
-
speaking of friends,
this year is also the first time
I pounded my right fist into the wall
(four times to be exact)
My knuckles swelled and turned blue black
and couldn't lift a pen properly for about 2 weeks
so smart right??LOL
(I was angry about something)
-
I'm definitely no stranger when it comes to falling in and out of love
We've spent 6 months together and it was good while it lasted
I hope you'll find someone better than me in everyway and that she'll make you happy =)
-
This year was the first time I've gone overseas with just my friends. We went to singapore.
Although it was under school, we had a blast ^^
Its no surprise that we went to the Singapore Zoo
I saw a polar bear!!
-
And the most beautiful and majestic creature aside from their usual orange and black are
White Tigers
My condolences to the family of the man who got killed by one of these tigers
-
I even got touch a wallaby
-
Back in Brunei, during the school's funfair,
I got to carry a living, breathing python on my shoulder.
If i'm not mistaken, this python weighs about 60kgs
(the snake wrangler's cute too =p)
-Reptiles have always fascinated me to the point where I just had to try
SCORPIONS!
-
While we're talking about food,
I've said it before that I tried this drink in China
Well its something new that I've done this year so i post la
-
Anyway, our school has offered us this unbelievale chance
to attend a course on Public Speaking for FREE by HSBC
yes, i repeat,
FREE!!!!
I still remember waking up every Friday morning just to go back to school
We were told to write speeches.
1st topic was on myself -
It was especially hard cause how do you write about yourself and not make it sound like some 8 years old wrote it and not make yourself sound too cocky??
and 2nd was on anything topic we wanted -
the only hard thing was choosing a topic,
I chose Animal Cruelty.
This was a fun speech to do cause I managed to get everyone who was there listening to get involve
and I got to see the disgust in their face when I went into detail of how animals were killed
(it means they were listening ba)and after each speech we made, we were given an evaluation on how our speech went
i trembled and stuttered alot but surprisingly they thought I was pretty good
-
it was a great experience and i'll never forget it
The three in the middle are our guides
Amy, Rozana and Elizabeth
-
Right before our O level Examinations, we were invited
to Miss Tay(our physics teacher)'s wedding
It was the first time I got to be one of those girls who stand and block the groom from seeing his future wife until he did every disgusting we told him do.
It was extremely funny AND fun
Click here to read the stuff the groom had to do just to see his bride (just scroll all the way down)

I finally got to attend prom eventhough it wasnt very fun, its still an event to remember
(http://yamyam25.blogspot.com/2008/11/prom-pictures.html)
I spent
$80 on the dress,
$70 on hair and make up,
$40 on the ticket
$30 on shoes
$20 on mani and pedi and
$10+ on the clutch
total = about $250.
WOW!! THATS ALOT!!!! T^T
I wish prom lasted a little longer though
-
then I 'attended' my first sleepover ever in my whole entire life and thank god it was at
THE EMPIRE HOTEL!!!
I remember getting sunburnt pretty badly
T.T
had a free scuba dving lesson
and played twister for the first time
I know how wrong this looks but it happens at every game ok~ =.=''
-
And last but not least, I get to spend New Year's Eve with friends for the first time
xD
I usually spend it alone...
