Brunch @ Empire

I went to have brunch with my parents.
Fortunately two meals are free and we just need to pay for one
its quite an expensive buffet at BN$40 plus 10% service tax.

It's a very large area where you need to go down
two flight?? of escalators to get to the Atrium Cafe

At your table, you get to have a spectacular view looking out the large windows of
the pool and beaches of the Empire Hotel
(seems more like a resort than a hotel)

2 choices of appetizer

greens(fresh vegetables) and sushi

of course I chose sushi
It was extremely fresh

I've always watched my brother eating
oysters
So today is my first time trying
It was quite an interesting experience and takes a while to get used to
(just like raw salmon)

I proceeded with some Chicken Herbal soup
with some
bread pieces
spring onions
fried,dried onions
(I don't know why blogspot did not rotate the picture for me)

accompanied by chicken cubes and yellow bell pepper on a skewer
with sweet chilli sauce
in a wine glass

This I would have to say didn't taste as good as I expected
Is it octopus?? Not sure.

My main course
baked chicken pasta
grilled lamb in black paper sauce
veggies in tortilla wrap
pouched potato
chicken with cranbarry sauce
khailand
(again blogspot didnt upload the picture right for me)

I had some mini cakes for desert
sponge cake with raspberries
pandan with black berries
sprinkled golden dust on the chocolate

I was surprised to see an ice maker there
fortunately it wasnt loud
I forgot that you were supppose to
put the ingredients first THEN the ice
cendol
grass jelly
corn
ideal milk
red syrup

And what dessert is complete without some ice cream??
yam ice cream
chocolate syrup
rainbow sprinkles
Total meal time : 1 hour and 30 mins
