Literally

Don't judge a book by its cover.
-
The back says
"International Bestseller"
and
"Voted Best First Crime Novel by the Swedish Academy of Crime"
-
I immediately assumed that it would be a good book since it has reality and history mixed together (the sort of genre I like). My mum called me to wait in the car and she went to do some other stuff. I took off the plastic cover, it took me 5 bloody minutes cause the wrapping was so tough and I didn't want to fold the book. I flipped open the book and started reading.
-
After the first few pages, I'm thinking, "WTF!! $23 out the window!!"
The book was too detailed with the descriptions. It just repeated the same stuff back and forth back and forth just with different words. I got so confused to the point that I had to keep refering back to the beginning to remember who was who. Then again, I have always been bad at remembering names.
-
I wanna gonna get my money's worth out of this damn book even if it kills me. I brought it to the saloon to read while I was having my hair done. I fell asleep with the book still in my hand!! I woke up after knocking my head on the steamer. I immediately switched to a magazine and woke up....
-
I brought this to our Novel reading sessions during EAS. 15 minutes felt like 5 hours. Grrr.. but good news is that the story finally has some gore. Who knows..I might even change my mind after finishing it.
