ridiculous

i've been hearing this phrase for my whole life
its suppose to be sympathetic in a good way but c'mon..
-

"He/She fought bravely in the battle against cancer"??!
-
wth?? you can't FIGHT cancer.
if you get it and the chemo and medication doesn't help well then you die la.
how the hell you fight??
if you notice it early then you have a BETTER chance of surviving
and if noticed at a later stage, you already know.
its a 50/50 chance its i still say you can't fight it.
-
to me its like saying

"He fought bravely in the battle of drowning
when he couldn't swim"
-
=.='''
i don't even know where did such a ridiculous phrase came about.
why you never say the person 'fought bravely' against diabetes or AIDS?
its the SAME BLOODY CONCEPT!!!
-
for the dumbasses whose reading, i'm not pointing this out towards cancer patients cause obviously they're not the one saying this.
