I learnt some interesting stuff in GP class today...

-

100 years ago, there were only 1.5 billion people on earth
Now, there are 6 billion people (thats 4 times!!)

-

Nearly half of all polar bear cubs die in their first year on the ice.

-

And surprisingly...
50% of kittens, puppies, etc IN THE WORLD
die before their first year as well.
-

There are only 40 Amur leopards left in the world
(usually found in Russia and Canada)
-

100 years ago, there were 100,000 tigers.
Now, there are 25,000 tigers left in the world
and 20,000 of them are kept in zoos.
-
Deserts cover one-third on the earth's land surface
and GROWING!!
-
Tropical rainforests only cover 3% of the earth's land surface
And it contains 50% of all species of the earth
-
So can you imagine that??
The box is to illustrate the earth
well, you already know that 70% of the earth is covered with water.
1/3 is the desert (brown part)
and 3% is the tropical rainforst where 50% of the world species are cramped in
-
Did you know that Indonesia is one of the main countries with rainforests??
and the idiots are burning the trees down
I know they are cause
I'm suffocating thanks to the stupid haze!!
