For the past few years, I grew up seeing alot of decorative lights and lanterns hung around houses during the beginning of puasa month. This year, there were almost none.
Only on the eve of Raya people started hanging their lights but there still weren't alot
I loved Amir's house though
So many tiki torches
Here's what they look like incase u didnt know
They look awesome at night xD
I went to my Uncle's house this morning for raya. Early morning already got so many people. I ate delicious beef rendang. I only get to enjoy it once a year.
*sob*
And my aunt(uncle's wife) gave us alot of macadamians and nougats and Patchi!!! from Brisbon <3
The round, brown balls that look like maltesers are macadamian nuts
Here's what the actual fruit looks like.
You need to wrap it in a cloth and about two blows with a hammer to crack it open.
Don't even think about using a nut cracker.
The shell is like about 1cm thick.
(hmmm...maybe thats why they're s EXPEN$IVE)
Pistachio and Ginger flavoured macadamian nougats.
A bit reluctant to taste the ginger flavoured one though =s
I have to go off now though. Its getting pretty late so enjoy raya-ing xD
